Project description

This Big Yellow Self Storage development in Wandsworth included refurbishment and the addition of a large and distinctive extension along Garratt Lane. Existing development on the site comprised of 6750m² BYSS facility and a vacant 4-storey office block.

The new extension increased the total self-storage area on site by 3500m² following the demolition of the vacant office building.
The new extension follows the footprint of the former office building closely but takes a significantly different approach to the prominent east elevation with the use of high-quality materials and a striking architectural design to create a contemporary feature in the local street scene and much needed storage space for residential and business customers.
