Ian Robinson BSc BArch FRSA RIBA
Partner
After completing his architectural education at Bath University Ian joined Mountford Pigott in 1988. With partner Alan Gaskell (now retired), Ian took over the running of the practice in 2000. Since then, Ian has led the Practice to great success in the design and construction of a diverse range of projects including many complex retail and leisure schemes and landmark mixed-use developments. Ian has also led the Practice’s retail & leisure asset management work for many of the leading funds and developers across the UK.
In recent years Ian has helped steer the practice through a period of considerable growth and has always been committed to building a practice producing high-quality design and delivery. To that end Ian instituted ISO:9001, ISO:14001 and quality management systems in the Practice.
Experienced in retail, leisure, residential, commercial and masterplanning work, and highly skilled with complex mixed-use schemes and town centre regeneration, Ian provides a full range of design-led services for a broad client base including feasibility studies and appraisals, planning discussions and design development through to contract negotiations and delivery on site.
“I enjoy making things happen for our clients – we are employed to create opportunities and add value – frequently in competition – and try to marry the practical with the desirable. This, coupled with the many other constraints and obstacles to be overcome along the way, mean that delivering a high-quality finished product can be very satisfying.”
