    This mixed use scheme has represented an exciting opportunity to enhance an important vacant site with a riverside frontage along Grafton Way.

     

    The proposal provides a foodstore with 7,282m²sales area with a total of 898 car parking above and below the store, 1,700m² A1/A3 retail units, 129 residential apartments and two hotels each with over 100 bedrooms. With the developer, Spenhill, Mountford Pigott have overcome many challenges relating to the flood risks of the site, significant underground electric cabling and sewers as well as two CABE reviews. The result is a design that will enhance the locality with new public spaces, a riverside promenade containing shops and cafes overlooking the water as well as providing a high quality living environment for both residents and shoppers.
