ashford leisure park
Located just off Junction 9 of the M20 and adjacent to the major existing Eureka Leisure Park, also designed by Mountford Pigott, this subsequent phase of development was constructed in two phases for Life Properties.
The development comprises a 74-bedroom, three-storey timber-framed hotel for Premier Inn, a serviced site for Beefeater Inn, and an innovative drive-through restaurant for McDonald's.
The design of the hotel is conceived as two interlocking blocks of render and timber which frame the entrance to the leisure park. The McDonald's design employs a sinuous form wrapped in zinc cladding. The full-height end glazing emphasizes the shape, and plug-in green modules have been used to create further windows and doors.
